“You’ve got one night only, one night only
That’s all you have to spare
One night only
Let’s not pretend to care
One night only, one night only
Come on, big baby, come on
One night only
We only have ’til dawn”…..
The lyrics summarize my Hong Kong Trip. If you remember, FIRST TRAVEL ABROAD: What to do & What to Bring. I stated there that I was offloaded two times going to Hong-Kong. Here’s what happened after I convinced the immigration officer. I planned to have 3 days and 2 nights but because they don’t allow me on my first day I only have 2 days and 1 night left. Find out what I discovered in HKG in about 24 hrs visit.
TOUCHDOWN HONG KONG
Welcome to Intercontinental Hotel.
When I lay down on the bed I really cannot believe that I made it. Thank God after all what happened, I feel like it doesn’t matter what I can see now, what matters most is I’m cleared in immigration and I’m sure all my future travels will be more easy. I decided to take a walk and few step away is the Hong Kong Museum of Art. After I check what inside in museum, I find this Big Bus that will take me to Victoria Peak.

@VICTORIA PEAK
Victoria Peak is a mountain in the western half of Hong Kong Island. It is know as Mount Austin, and locally as The Peak, with an elevation of 522 m (1,811 ft), it is the highest mountain in Hong Kong island.
The best way to enjoy the ultimate Peak experience is the Peak Tram Sky Pass, offering you enjoyment of a trip on the famous Peak Tram and the fabulous panoramic views of Hong Kong from The Sky Terrace 428, the highest 360 degree viewing terrace in Hong Kong.
It’s the best place from which to admire the lights of this Oriental Pearl. Combine history, modern city, shopping and dining to make an experience never be forgotten.

I ride on the same bus when going back downtown from Victoria Peak. “Watch and Learn” is my motto when travelling to a new place.
When I saw that most of the passenger jump off from the bus I followed them. I take more walk, cross the roads and again follow the direction where lots of people go, until I saw this pier saying Victoria Harbor and there I find the boat that will bring me to the amazing night view of the city.
@ VICTORIA HARBOUR
At the harbor I find this show called A Symphony of Lights, a famous laser lights and music show in Hong Kong. It is presented by the Hong Kong Tourism Commission through organizing 44 skycrapers and landmarks that lie on the sides of the Victoria Harbour. Through interactive lightning and music show, it shows the vibrancy and glamorous night view of the city.
The local Tourism initiated the project in 2004 and it was formally included on the “GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS” as the largest lightning and music show on Nov.21,2005.

The night view along the beaches of Victoria Harbour is a famous attraction. It is one of the top three night views in the world along with Hokadate,Japan and Naples,Italy.
Vantage Points
The best places to appreciate the show are:
1. from Star Avenue to the coast beside the HK Cultural Center.
2. the waterfront promenade on Wan Chai Golden Bauhinia Square.
3. Or a Victoria Harbor cruise.

It was a spectacular show to end my One Night Only visit in Hong Kong. It´s a great achievement to have my first stamp on my passport. Unexpected tour yet successful itinerary and I took one step forward in conquering my dream.
Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.
